The ProBin Team
Five years ago, Lee Underwood and Bryan Bowen saw a gap in the market and believed they had the solution.
At the time, bulk packaging in the poultry industry was inefficient. Traditional boxes were bulky, heavy, and took up too much warehouse space. Even worse, most bulk bins didn’t have proper bottom support—relying on reinforced sides held together with bands. For a container designed to hold 2,000 pounds of poultry, a box with bands simply wasn’t strong or reliable enough.
Probin Global was created to change that.
The company introduced an innovative solution: a proprietary engineered sleeve that supports both the sides and the bottom of the box. The result is a lighter, stronger, more efficient packaging system that saves valuable space and provides better support. It’s a simple idea with a powerful impact—and it’s what sets Probin apart in the market.
The First 5 Years
Probin launched in May 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the challenges of that time, the company quickly gained traction. Now, five years later, Probin is celebrating a milestone that many startups never reach.
Growth over the past five years has been remarkable. The company’s facilities have doubled in size—not once, but twice. Automation now plays a major role in daily operations, and investments in people, technology, and infrastructure continue to drive progress.
Today, Probin serves customers across the country, from California to the Northeast, while maintaining strong local roots in Cullman, Alabama. Both Underwood and Bowen are long-time residents of the area. They know many of their employees from church, school, and the Cullman community. While Probin has significant national reach, it remains firmly grounded in local values.
The Next 5 Years
Looking ahead, Probin’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. A second location recently opened in Delaware this year, with plans already underway for additional facilities in other states. The company is also expanding its sales and marketing teams to enter new markets and continue its growth.
As Probin marks its fifth anniversary, Probin Partners Lee Underwood and Bryan Bowen share their gratitude for the support from their employees, customers, and community.
“We are further along than we ever imagined,” said Underwood. “We are very blessed and we will continue to grow.”
