The bulk bin industry is expanding rapidly. According to Global Market Insights, the corrugated bulk bins market was valued at $14.2 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of more than 5 percent between 2024 and 2032.
This growth reflects a broader shift in how industries are thinking about storage and transport: Smarter, stronger, and more sustainable solutions are increasingly competitive in the market. With ProBin Global’s durable poly-woven sleeve, our double wall bulk bins deliver the same reliable performance as triple wall options—while keeping us cost-effective and competitive for our customers.
Here’s a breakdown of how the ProBin sleeve paired with double wall bins saves our customers money, time and space on shipments!
How Double Wall Bins are Smarter
Our bins are forward-thinking. The benefits of using a double wall bin over a triple wall bin are found in lower costs and space savings. As ProBin Sales Representative Justin Pruett explains:
The sleeve we use is replacing the bins that must use multiple walls of paper. When you go from a triple wall bin, which is much thicker, to a double wall bin with a sleeve, you’re compressing how many bins are on a unit. So, on a typical triple wall load you’re getting 800–850 bins on a trailer, with our bins you’re getting up to 1300–1350 bins on a trailer.
That is a big difference, especially for our customers who receive multiples truckloads per week! More bins on a trailer means fewer trailers to unload, which contributes to savings in labor costs.
ProBin’s Sleeve Adds Strength Without Waste
Triple wall bins are thought to be stronger because of the extra wall. ProBin’s sleeve makes a big difference here. Our sleeve provides 6,000 pounds of bursting strength to fortify the box and secure your cargo. On top of that, the ProBin sleeve won’t rip or tear, so the box isn’t going to slip around and burst outside of the sleeve. Essentially, the sleeve helps the box withstand hydrostatic pressure and shear stress.
Think it can’t get better? The sleeve is also recyclable, so every bin saves space while reducing waste.
Moving the Industry Forward
In 2023, triple wall bins represented 40.36 percent of corrugated bulk bin market share, while double wall bins represented almost half of that percentage. We’re excited to play a role in growing the share of double wall bins, especially as ProBin expands into new markets like produce and pet food. With new industries on the horizon and growing demand for stronger, lighter, and greener packaging, the momentum for double wall bins is only just beginning.
